You may also contact the appropriate state agency directly at any time. You are not required to contact Life at Best Counseling before contacting an agency or submitting a complaint.
Notice to Clients
The Texas Behavioral Health Executive Council investigates and prosecutes professional misconduct committed by marriage and family therapists, professional counselors, psychologists, psychological associates, social workers, and licensed specialists in school psychology. Although not every complaint against or dispute with a licensee involves professional misconduct, the Executive Council will provide you with information about how to file a complaint.

How to File a Complaint with the Texas Behavioral Health Executive Council
Complaints must be submitted to the Council on an approved complaint form, which may be downloaded from the Forms and Publications webpage or by clicking on the link below. Alternatively, you may call or write and request the complaint form be mailed to you.
Requesting Counseling Records
Life at Best Counseling retains client records for at least seven years after counseling services end, or until a client who was a minor at the time of services reaches age 23, whichever period is longer.
To request a copy of your counseling records, don’t hesitate to contact Venus Rouhani for instructions about the secure records-request process. Please do not include confidential clinical details in a standard, non-encrypted email.
